Dear Friends, special thanks by Technical Solidarity and  the Grand Challenges students that with Micro Grid Academy , and their US colleagues, worked enthusiastically for the GC-EU 2021 conference and the numbers really rewarded them:

 582 Participants (from Zoom certificate)

6311 Views (from Linkedin certificate)

154 Research Departments (from Application Forms)

85 Acts ready for publication

49 countries represented by EU, Africa, South Asia and the Americas

12 hours of scientific talks on models, algorithms and technologies in the field

We would like to sincerely thank those who, like you, confidently supported the initiative, the quality was also guaranteed and acknowledged by the Professors of 154 bodies between Research Centres, Italian and American Universities, by our Pro-rector Sapienza Livio De Santoli, by the Rector of Uni BS Maurizio Tira, Head of International Relations Conference of Italian University Rectors, the 15 AIMSEA Professors’ Association of Italian Professors of Energy Systems, the 9 US Faculty Deans for their Grand Challenges Scholars Program, the Senator dedicated to the new Energy Communities, and the various internationally renowned Managers, EngineersResearchers and PhD students from 49 countries around the world.

This was only possible thanks to the organisational efforts of the new “Grand Challenges ALUMNI” of the Universities of Rome, and the International Research Group Field Studies for Mini Grid Optimisation (FS4MGO), which presented the latest papers produced on Energy Communities in Italy.

Special thanks go to all the speakers, it was an intense day of academic work full of projects and ideas on optimisation methods for the technical, environmental and socio-economic sustainability of Mini Grids and Renewable Energy Communities, with results that were truly unexpected, and certainly deserved.

The next meeting will be on 24 May at 17.30 for one hour with the same International Universities, with whom we will discuss the organisation of our presence at COP 26 and of course the IV Grand Challenges EU conference in 2022...

See you soon,

The Technical Scientific Committee

P.S. We don’t want to bore you, so if you are interested in the Proceedings or the next short operational GC meeting in May, please write to me or better still to the guys: GCSP.Sapienza@gmail.com (copying me just in case).
